You boiled the potatoes gently before adding the chopped smoked and your cured sausages and Add more of cheese on top before baking it together in the oven.
Ingredients needed
- 4 cups of idaho potatoes, peeled, boiled and incise into a block shape when cool.
- 4½ tablespoons of butter
- 4½ tablespoons of flour
- 2½ Cups of milk
- 1 teaspoon of salt or (in moderate)
- ⅛ teaspoon of pepper
- 1 lb of Velveeta cheese, diced
- 1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 lb of skinless smoked sausage (depends on your favorite)
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
Instructions
- Incise your skinless smoked sausage into half, lengthways, and chop into half-inch.
- Cook it in your frying pan for approximately 15 mins and keep turning it until it turns to brown.
- Put your cooked and your potatoes already cut into small cubes shape in 2 quart casserole.
- Then add your cooked meat and toss it gently.
- Add all the ingredients together and mix (exclude for shredded cheddar cheese and your paprika) in a saucepan over a low heat until warm, melted and smooth. ( But make sure you stir constantly)
- Pour your cheese sauce over the potatoes and meat.
- Sprinkle your shredded sharp cheddar on the surface (top), and also spread the paprika evenly over the top.
Then bake for about 30-45 minutes under 350°F oven until it turns to golden brown on the surface.
